The pages and the letters within the envelopes are clean and unmarked. A selection of some of the letters and drawings created and sent by J.R.R. Tolkien to his children. Tolkien wrote to them as "Father Christmas" and other characters, from 1920 to 1943. This book includes some of those letters up to 1937. The letters describe life and activities at the North Pole. The letters and some of the artwork are housed in envelopes in the book, intended for the reader to open and enjoy. Charming.
