No store stamps. --- HERE'S THE FIRST FEW SENTENCES --- --- It is time now, I think, to tell the true story of Michael Martin, better known to the people of Ireland generally--though not to his home town--as Captain Lightfoot. I have heard about him all my life, and he has become, after all these years, in a sense, a familiar of mine. Like myself, he was born in Kilkenny market-town of Ballymore, and, as a matter of fact, he is a far distant cousin of my own, his mother's name having been Conihy, my own name. . .See photos for additional content. . .
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Book Club Edition. Slight cocking. Edges lightly stained. Some frays to the dust jacket with one tear on the top front and top of the back dj near the spine. Otherwise a clean, unmarked copy. Book Club Edition.
