Feel the excitement build as a little girl skates for the very first time. She escapes into the snowy polar landscape of her imagination, skating past bobbing seals and whales, arctic hares and polar bears, until itís time to return home with a triumphant, "I can skate, look at me!" Heli Hieta has created beautifully atmospheric and textured illustrations, which perfectly capture the feel of winter and the wonder of a child learning a new skill. Exuding energy and vitality, this young skater is simply irresistible.
Every child who has learned to skate will relate to this charming story of a girlís first ice skating experience.
