Tod has a plan to change the future of the free world but when he goes missing, Blackford locks horns with Walter Ulbricht, East Germany's unscrupulous communist boss and wins a moral victory for the West. Blackford Oakes novels have always had a very wide appeal, as readers are drawn by the delightful characters and intricate plots.
