I’m proud to introduce you to our eighth annual Halloween anthology. We look forward to sharing our work with you. Some of us are published authors, others dabble in writing as a hobby, and some are in the learning stages of grasping how to tell a good story. But we all have one thing in common: we love to create. The Greece, NY writer’s group began in a well-known bookstore back in 2007. It started with just five people in attendance. But over the years, that number grew. And although we still meet once a month to share our work and expand our creativity, well over a hundred people have signed up with us. Thankfully, not all of them come to the workshops at the same time (though there was that one year when we ran out of chairs...).My favorite part about the group is not the writing, however. It’s the friendship. The laughter. The bond we share. When I walk into the circle of writers, I feel welcomed. If I’ve had a bad day, I’m swiftly cheered up. Young, old, brown, ecru, male, female, straight, gay, eccentric, autistic...all those labels go away and we become what we were born to be: communicators. We all have a story to tell. Let’s feel free to tell it.-KG
