About the Author:
Nicholas Forder is a children's author and illustrator who specialises in wildlife illustration. Douglas Palmer is a science writer who currently writes for the Financial Times, Science, New Scientist, BBC Wildlife Magazine and other publications. He is the author of Life Before Man (Reader’s Digest) and was the consultant editor on The Marshall Illustrated Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Animals. As well as writing, he teaches Earth Sciences at Cambridge University and Geology and the Environment for the Open University. Previously, Douglas has researched and lectured on fossils at Trinity College, Dublin University, edited several academic publications, and worked as Exhibition Coordinator for Mammoths and the Ice Age at the National Museum of Wales. Douglas lives with his wife and the younger of two daughters in Cambridgeshire, England. Dr Neil D.L. Clark is a palaeontology curator at the Hunterian Museum, University of Glasgow. He holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow, and is well known for his discovery of a four-toed track from the Jurassic of northern England in 1990. He has specialised in dinosaur eggs from China and Scotland's first dinosaurs. Neil appears in the 2006 book of Guinness World Records with his latest discovery of the World’s smallest dinosaur footprint. He lives in Glasgow, Scotland.
