This is the story of Maurice E. LaClair's experiences fighting in the "Forgotten War"- the CBI (China-Burma-India) Theater of operations during World War II. My father-in-law has shared with me bits and pieces of his war stories over the past thirty-five years. These are his experiences as he recalls them, in an interview ten days before his eighty-eighth birthday, on Monday, August 2nd, 2010.

About the Author:
I am a 55 year-old father of five children and one beautiful granddaughter. I have been teaching Middle School Social Studies for the past 29 years. I enjoy reading, writing, coaching and golf (when I can find the time!). My wife, Mary, and I have been married for 34+ years and basically have grown up together. We wed right out of high school and attended college together while starting a family. I have one published book, The Mystery of the Silver Statue. The second book in the series, The Mystery of the Brick Kingdom, is ready for publication. I am nearing the end of my teaching career and look forward to getting started on a new one-as a full-time author!
