Review:
"Explanations of grammar are very clear. The activities are superb. I found them very creative and communicative. I love them."
"I thought the book was very well organized and the material well presented. I particularly like the fact that the listening and video exercises reinforce the material just learned, not isolated and often unrelated topics like cultural information."
"I like the division of the chapters into etapas, each of which could almost stand alone. This seems to work better than lumping all of the vocabulary in one spot, all of the grammar in another, and all of the culture at the end. It also gives instructors and students a clear picture of how the chapters will develop."
"The teachers notes for heritage speakers. We don't have sufficient student population here for heritage speaker language classes, but we do heritage speakers at varying levels. I already use the same strategies - help them incorporate their own language knowledge into the class - this would give me more opportunities to do so - as well as providing me a 'heads up" on things that give native speakers/heritage speakers difficulty. Teacher notes overall are very good - I already use a lot of these strategies, but a new teacher or TA will benefit from them."
"The music selection is outstanding -- good intro to it in the book too. Students will be very enthusiastic about the iTunes playlist."
