Review:
"This book is perhaps the most thorough on Schultze's growing list of thoughtful and thorough studies."--Steve Rabey, YouthWorker Journal, March/April 2009
"This volume will help pastors better understand the changing nature of our communication efforts and can give you some ideas for better connecting with your own church and community."--Michael Duduit, Preaching, November/December 2008
"IVP Academic, an imprint of InterVarsity Press, is publishing some high quality books these days, and this is another of them. The goal here, in a series of essays by scholars, is to help all of us understand the way the Christian message is getting communicated today. There are insights here for people of all faiths, though clearly it will be of most interest eo evanglicals--no matter how that word gets defined."--Bill Tammeus, Faith Matter (billtammeus.typepad.com), August 23, 2008
"Understanding Evangelical Media is the quintessential book on understanding the numerous forms of media and their ability, and often inability, to engage Christ and culture."--Worship Leader, December 2008
"I recommend reading this collection of essays. I believe pastors will especially benefit from reading chapters 7 and 9 ('Practicing Worship media Beyond PowerPoint' by Brian Fuller and 'Praising God with Popular Music' by Robert H. Woods Jr.)."--Leon H. Johnston, Calvin Theological Journal, November 2009
"One of the strengths of this book is its scope. Students of media will likely read the book from cover to cover. Regardless of how the reader approaches this book, she will be drawn into an informative and engaging analysis of EM."--Leon H. Johnston, Calvin Theological Journal, November 2009
