Well, I can hardly believe that The Food Bible is on its
third edition already - with nearly 275,000 copies sold! I decided to write
the first edition back in 1998 as an antidote to the large amount of rather
cranky and, often, inaccurate, advice out there in the media and in other
books.
My approach to nutrition and health has always, I hope, been 'the voice of
commonsense' and as such I'm not a believer that we all need masses of
supplements or a diet of wheatgrass and lentils in order to be healthy.
Whilst I know many journalists and other media people who have a copy of
the book on their shelves and use it for their own reference, I am also
delighted when I get good Amazon reviews from buyers; good feedback is so
important to me. The reviews of the first two editions of The Food Bible
have, I'm pleased to say, appeared to prove that my approach is popular and
easy to understand.
