Harold’s New Friends R Aliens!
A creative tool to tacitly teach children the value of trying again.
Harold's New Friends R Aliens! is a unique format, an imaginary world introducing new and exciting characters, with big hearts and even bigger attitudes.
Created by a multi award winning team, recipients of numerous nominations and awards including the Australian Writer’s Guild awards (AWGIE’s) and the Australian Recording Industry awards (ARIA’s). Individual works include the animation series Guess How Much I Love You™ by Sam McBratney, Kitty is Not a Cat created by Bruce Kane & Maurice Argiro and Dumb Bunnies by Dav Pilkey.
Harold is a young boy who really wants to be hero but he just can't seem to make it happen. All of a sudden he has 3 crazy little aliens in a 'Birdship' that want to help him out. Iggy, Tsk-Tsk and Duke have a secret rewind button and their own ideas on what he should do, but it's all down to Harold to get it right ...!
In Episode 1. The Bullies & the Billy-Cart we see Harold save his bestest friend Jessica from the frightening mandibles of a huge spider, outsmart the school bullies at their own game and stumble on a 1950’s billy-cart to become our Hero!

Mrs Sam Hobblelen: as a mum of 3 boys, we enjoyed reading Harold's New Friends R Aliens immensely! Our boys giggled uncontrollably when introduced to one of the alien characters Iggy, and wanted to read about Iggy over and over. From a parents' perspective the messaging on resilience and bullying is very topical especially as our eldest son has just started school. I highly recommend this book, it's a wonderful read!

Mrs Julie Tayles: Beautifully illustrated children's book which children the importance of making good choices. The clever combination of humour and fabulously illustrated, colourful characters that children (and parents) can relate to draw the reader into the story, making it the perfect tale to share with little ones. A useful educational tool which would be an asset to any home or school library. If your kids like the Andrew Griffiths series of slightly chaotic humour, they will love this book. Refreshingly creative!

Deborah Wilson: The story of Harold’s opportunity to ”take two” on a decision he has made, is a simple and entertaining tool for parents seeking to teach children the message of actions and their consequences. Beautifully funky illustrations and the humorous story combine to make this a fun read for children and parents alike.
