About the Author:
Kirstin Dow is Associate Professor of Geography at the University of South Carolina, Senior Research Fellow at the Stockholm Environment Institute, a contributor to the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, and Principal Investigator in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments research network addressing climate services. Thomas E. Downing is Executive Director of the Stockholm Environment Institute, Oxford Office; Visiting Professor at Oxford University; contributor to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; and advisor to national and international programmes on climate change.
