A wealthy socialite has hired Helen to find a missing painting owned by her late father. After his death, many of his books were donated to the Flora Park Library, and his daughter suspects the $1 million painting was tucked inside one of the books. To find the painting, Helen gets a job as a library volunteer and discovers the library has a catalogue of complaints and some dark secrets. When a dead body turns up in a parking lot, Helen must find the killer as well as the painting - before she's taken out of circulation herself.
