In his sexiest, scariest novel yet, James Patterson deftly confirms that he always "takes thrills to the next level" (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review).
When FBI agent John O'Hara first sees Nora Sinclair, she seems perfect. She has the looks. The career. The clothes. The wit. The sophistication. The tantalizing sex appeal. The whole extraordinary package-and men fall in line to court her. She doesn't just attract men, she enthralls them.
So why is the FBI so interested in Nora Sinclair? Mysterious things keep happening to people around her, especially the men. And there is something dangerous about Nora when Agent O'Hara looks closer-something that lures him at the same time that it fills him with fear. Is there something dark hidden among the unexplained gaps in her past? And as he spends more and more time getting to know her, is he pursuing justice? Or his own fatal obsession?
With the irresistible attraction of the greatest Hitchcock thrillers, Honeymoon is a sizzling, twisting tale of a woman with a deadly appetite and the men who dare to fall for her.

Review:
Anyone who has missed good suspense novels should put Honeymoon on their list straight away. James Patterson has always been fascinated by serial killers, yet he has tended in the past to stick with the boys; in Nora Sinclair, he and Howard Roughan create a classic Black Widow, who kills her suitors and husbands for their wealth. John O'Hara knows most of the truth about Nora, but until his investigations get close to her, he has no idea of just how much charisma and appeal she brings to the job of murder. And Nora, thinking him just an insurance agent, is surprised by how much she thinks about him, and not necessarily as a future victim. There is a quirky romance here, full of lies and deceit and also genuine feeling and a sense of menacing jeopardy for both viewpoint characters. The story-telling is Patterson's usual fast-paced staccato narration, but it has time for some interesting side-bar issues--there are things in both Nora and John's pasts and presents which only gradually come to our attention. --Roz Kaveney.
Review:
'HONEYMOON...has all the familiar traits: satisfyingly tortuous plotting, and a narrative trajectory that never pauses for breath. Agent O'Hara is drawn with economical skill, as is his sexual obsession with the bewitching Nora Sinclair. This story has elements of Hitchcock's Vertigo, and its page-turning quality is in a class of its own' Independent, 12/2/05 (Independent)

'O'Hara and particularly Nora stand as two of Patterson's most complex characters yet... This is one canny thriller and Patterson's millions of fans will be most pleased' Publishers Weekly, 31/1/05 (Publishers Weekly)

'This story has elements of Hitchcock's Vertigo, and its page-turning quality is in a class of its own' Independent, 12/2/05 (Independent)

'This author knows precisely how to manipulate his readers' Independent, 12/2/05 (Independent)

'Honeymoon is all pacy, sexy, high-octane stuff, refreshingly free of the cruelty that often dominates his plots' Guardian, 19 February 2005 (Guardian)
