Synopsis:
For people with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, antipsychotic medications are the key to recovery. Yet older drugs have serious side effects and rarely affect symptoms like lethargy. New antipsychotics have advantages but they are not for everyone, if only because of their cost. This book aims to help consumers and their families weigh up the pros and cons of changing medications and guides them through the process of doing so. For doctors, it includes details on new drugs and their side effects.
